Professional development and training is a great way to ensure effective service delivery when supporting children and families.  As a professional, Monique strives to provide training and services to address critical issues in organizational and strategic planning, trauma-informed practices and approaches, and integrated learning to best serve children and families.  Relevant information is shared through activities, practical application, shared experience, and training style workshops to better equip staff members with the skills and knowledge to impact change, care, and support for children and families. 

​Monique has developed and facilitated numerous trainings and workshops on trauma and implementing trauma-informed practice for the Virginia Department of Education, Department of Criminal Justice Services, Department of Corrections, and local agencies that serve youth in foster care, residential care, and early childhood education. Her experience in the field of mental health has greatly impacted the services provided to youth and families involved in multiple systems including social services, behavioral health, juvenile justice, and criminal justice.
